St Louis-Freecycle File - How To Post

We have found the easiest way for Members to post is via email (see below.) The new Yahoo format is still confusing to us all, but we can work around them. You also have the option of going to http://my.freecycle.org/ and making an account, use the same email address you are using for this group. I think they will send you a temporary password you will change after you log in the first time. When you get logged in, go to Browse Groups, select Missouri, then find us. You can then use the 'message maker' type format thingie (can you tell I am not a Techie person) and post via there. Note: We have NO intentions of moving the group off Yahoo, but are trying to figure out an easier way to post right now. If you are unable to figure it out, let me know and I can call you and we can figure it out together.

To post via regular email: Send the email to
StLouis-Freecycle@yahoogroups.com . In the subject line be sure to include the type of post, item, zip. Examples : OFFER: Couch 63122 (Even if it is a REOFFER, please use OFFER), TAKEN: Couch 63122 (If the item is PPU, put it in the message body), WANTED: Couch 63122 (2 WANT postings a week, 3 item limit per post), RECEIVED: Couch 63122

When responding, please make sure you are responding ONLY to the Member who has posted the WANTed or OFFER.
