I'm not sure whether there's anyone out there who is interested in fixing old appliances, but we have a black Kitchen Aid dishwasher (KUDS25SHBL), about 15 years old, that is going to be replaced this week. I am fairly certain that it just needs a new microprocessor board-- about a $150 part that is fairly straightforward to order and replace. In fact, I just replaced it about 6 months ago, so I'm not eager to invest in a new one (that's why we are replacing the whole unit) but if there is anyone who would like to give it a shot I'll hold onto it when it gets swapped out.
