St Louis-Freecycle ADMIN: Selling Items From Freecycle

If you respond to an OFFER, you MUST disclose the person OFFERing the item if you plan to turn around and resell the item. If someone gave you an item in good faith that you said you would use yourself and it is found on sale somewhere (let's say Craigslist), you WILL be banned from the group and your identity shared with Moderators of other Freecycle groups. Now if you have the item for awhile and decide to have a garage sale, that is fine, BUT to purposely gather items to resell is NOT ALLOWED, unless you inform the person GIFTing the item to you of your intentions. This allows each giver to make their own personal decision about whether to give their items to a someone who is planning to sell them for profit or someone who will use the item themselves.

And YES we do have this happening on the board right now. I am not talking about those who scrap old appliances, etc. but rather items Members think they are passing along to someone who intends to use it.

If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.
